PREQUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR COLLECTION/DISPOSAL OF LIQUID WASTE/OILY WATER/SLUDGE ETC FROM SHIPS WITHIN

KARACHI PORT LIMITS.

Applications are invited from reputable firms, having expertise and equipment for execution of subject work, for registration with KPT. Upon Pre-qualification registration license would be issued by KPT to the firms for Removal of Oily Waste from Ships within Karachi Port Limits.

The license would be renewable on annual basis subject to past performance. The applications should contain following information/documents.

a. Full Name of the firm/contractor and contact details with a copy of Memorandum of Articles of Association/Partner Ship Deed/Certificate of Registration.

b. Details of Experience/Expertise/Equipment held for the purpose.

c. Liquid Waste Removal capacity including mode of Transport & details of final disposal.

d. Testimonials of Past experience and letters from at least 2 Nos. Ships Agents confirming that they would provide them with sludge removal task from ships under their Agency, if licensed by KPT. Contractors who qualified for year 2008-09 should submit record of ships attended during year 2008-09.

e. Security Deposit (Refundable) of Rs.25000/= preferably in the form of Pay Order in the name of the Chief Accounts Officer, KPT.

Applications should reach the office of General Manager (Ops), KPT Head Office Building, Eduljee Dinshaw Road Karachi by 25^th August, 2009. KPT Reserves the right to reject any/all applications without assigning any reason.
