Note : For hire of the craft mentioned in items 1 and 2 outside the break-water or port limits, an extra charge of 50% will be levied.

Note (1) : Variations to be assessed and charged by the Chief Mechanical and Electrical Engineer on the above basis.

Note (2) : Launches ordered and not used to be charged three quarters of the above rates.

Note (3) : In exceptional cases, however, the Chairman may at his discretion waive charges for the use of the launches when considered desirable in respect of high personage.

4. Launches attendance per ship: US $ 60.00

Note :
(a) The Launches attendance fees in respect of foreign men of war calling at this port on goodwill or courtesy visit will be exempted, in exceptional cases by KPT only when substantiated by an application from the concerned Government/Embassy to the Government of Pakistan and agreed to and recommended by the Ministry of Defence to the KPT.

(b) In case of vessels, belonging to Foreign State calling at this Port on goodwill or Courtesy visit, the launch attendance fees will be exempted subject to an application made by the Host Department of Government of Pakistan.

SCALE "B" OUTSIDE THE BREAKWATER

Note (1) : The hire hours of any of the above craft to count from the time for which it is ordered to the time at which it arrives back at its moorings, or in the case of a tug hire for use in port limits to the time when she is dismissed by the hirer.

Note (2) : All the above charges are for services rendered between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the charges will be increased by 25 percent, except in the case of tugs.

Note (3) : The Board reserve the right to refuse to let on hire their craft and plant, at their discretion.

Note (4) : The period for hire of a 250 tonnes barge will be considered to have terminated when the barge has been returned to its moorings, if towed by private agency. When a Port Trust tug is employed, the period will terminate from the time intimation is given that the barge is no longer required.

Note (5) : The hire of all craft and plant under this Table is subject to the conditions that hirers agree (I) either to insure the game to the Port Trust valuation against loss or damage or agree in writing to make good any loss or damage to the craft or plant and (ii) to indemnify the Port Trust against any monetary claims from the personnel of such craft arising out of accidents sustained during the period of hire, either under the Workmen's Compensation Act or the KPT Act, 1886.

Note (6) : Salvage services will be rendered by the Port Trust outside the harbour on terms specially arranged in each as regards unabandoned vessels and at their discretion in the case of abandoned vessels.

Note (7) : The charges for any service or for the hire of any plant appliance, gear tackle, tool or instrument not included in the above scale shall be at such rates or of such amounts as may be fixed by the Chairman in each particular case.

Note (8) : If the K.P.T. is required to hire a tug from an outside agency for any of the services mentioned in this Table, the KPT shall not charge more than the hire charges at which the tugs are hired from outside agencies.
